“Should teens be on death row” is a topic of controversy. Yes indeed there are teens on death row but should they be? ... allow for this to occur most likely more then you would assume, the following is a short list of states that have had or currently do have teens on death row: (minimum death penalty ages by jurisdiction as of June 30, 2003) Age 18: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, Washington, Federal Civilian, Federal Military, Age 17: Florida, Georgia, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Texas, Age 16: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Idaho, Kentucky. There are many things in this society which should be banned, but the death penalty is not one of them. ... In some states, including Alabama, the death penalty has helped them lower the rate of violent crimes. ...
The death penalty would also make people more secure.
