In the book “A Separate Peace,” Many friendships are shown, but none are as great as the one that Finny shows towards Gene. ... First, Finny saved Gene’s life, and gene did just about the opposite to Finny. When gene was falling out of the tree, Finny reached out, and saved him. Next, Finny is a loving guy who forgives Gene even though he did that awful thing to him. Even though gene broke his leg, and pretty much ruined his life, he still forgave him. Finally, Finny is trusting toward his friend Gene, and Gene doesn’t trust Finny at all. Gene feels that Finny is trying to sabotage his school work, but this is not at all true. These several reasons support the fact that Finny is a much better friend than Gene is.
