The Matrix reviewed
2.63 I’m writing this to explain some feelings I have about the series of movies known as the matrix. Like many I am indeed a sci-fi fan and adored the original matrix. For me, it held an innovative storyline that wasn’t overly complex and had absolutely superb special effects. Put simply, I loved it. I bought the video, watched it endlessly, mesmerised by the slick fighting moves and the over-the-top gun fights. I spent a lot of time in front of my big mirror kicking and punching away wishing I could be as slick as morpheus or neo or hell, even trinity. I yearned for the day when no.2 would grace our screens. Then it did. And I wish it hadn’t. The second film ruined this story or saga or whatever you want to call it. Number two and three were essentially one big story cut in half so ill treat them as such and just refer to the story as reloaded to save time. I have never directed or written or produced in any way even a small movie and I have no experience whatsoever when it comes to doing such things, but I still believe a trained monkey could’ve thought up a better story than we were given.
