Genetic Engineering
Our society comes down to the fact that the narrow mindedness of world leaders has overlapped an extremely useful research and market. It seems so when a ban on genetic engineering has left researchers with much to anticipate but little to work with. Yet after considering the pros and cons involved with genetic research, only one conclusion can be made: The positive results of genetic engineering far outweigh the supposed negative impact that cloning is said to have on society and should therefore receive greater funding and support from the U. ...
Although Genetic Engineering’s benefits far outweigh its negative aspects, it is feared by many, and the opposition says that it is said to have deadly and harmful side-effects, as well as lower the moral standards of our society. Any attempt to oppose genetics logically will use the failed experiments and the negative results they bring such as dead embryos and lost money to say that genetic research cost too much for what it delivers and should not be given any more opportunities it improve. ...
Genetic engineering is defined as “the alteration of an organism’s genetic, or heredity, material to eliminate undesirable characteristics or to produce new ones”(Levine 1). Genetic engineering has been around for over 8000 years, but just recently has it had a remarkable break through, know as recombinant DNA. ... When this Recombinant DNA is introduced into another organism, it permanently changes the genetic makeup of that organism and all it’s descendants”. ... The solution to the eradication of world hunger is through genetic engineering. ... Quantity as well as quality is also very well possible through genetic engineering. ... The enhancement and engineering of our food, when given quick thought might not seem beneficial. But when all the potential results are analyzed, it alone is a perfect example to go ahead with developing the technology of genetic engineering. ... In addition to using genetic engineering in the plant industry, it also has many uses in the medical fields. Through genetic engineering it is quite possible to cure some if not all forms of diseases, deformities, and infection.
By using the revolutionary technique of genetic engineering, humans will put an end to pain and suffering by making human bodies immune to diseases. ... In addition to the medical uses of genetic engineering, scientists have speculated that it is possible to enhance the human species entirely. Through genetic engineering the strengthening of the bodies vital system can me manipulated in a way in which they work more efficiently and are less vulnerable to damage.
