The central characters of The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde are a handsome young man named Dorian Gray, Basil Hallward, an artist and Lord Henry Wotton who played a big part in the character development of Dorian Gray. At the beginning of the story, Dorian is young and innocent but as the story goes on, his personality changes to the point when he was, altogether, a different person.
At the beginning of the book Basil Hallward drew a picture of Dorian Gray but refused to exhibited it fearing he had put too much of himself in it.
