Imagine customizing one’s desktop with a theme to brighten up the desktop’s environment with wallpaper, icons, cursors, sound files, and screensavers of one’s favorite animal, season, location or actress, in my case. It is well known now that it is possible on Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows XP. But what happened to Windows 2000?
As a loyal user to Windows 95 and Windows 98, I was accustomed to the Desktop Theme icon found in the Control Panel. One day, a long time ago, I decided to upgrade my operating system to Windows 2000. I decided to upload my desktop themes immediately after upgrading the operating system. Long behold I could not find the desktop icon!
