When most people get sick they go to the doctor for help, relief and an explanation. ... What the government fears that citizens smoke to much marijuana, and have one of the largest black markets in the world, there are people that do smoke cannabis because their health depends on it. ... OF all the negative consequences of marijuana prohibition, non are as tragic as the denial of medical marijuana to the tens of thousands of seriously ill patients who could benefit from it’s effects. Marijuana should be legalized for medical uses because of it’s effectiveness, practicality and past history.

Before the use of marijuana became a major problem, doctors had already discovered the drug and it’s megical healing powers. ... According to Lester Grinspoon, a historian, during 1840-1900, "more then 100 articles of marijuana uses were recorded". ...

Hundreds of research tests have been done proving that marijuana has many useful side effects. ... In 1839 western medicine expert, William O’ Shaughngsesly said that marijuana had the said that marijuana had the "same effectiveness as: relaxant/sedative, antidepressant, alagesic/antispasmodic, child birht aid, intraocular, hypotensive, appetite stimulant, hypotherogenic, withdrawal for sedative dependence, and topical antibiotic" (Mikuriya Online). With the vast medicines it has similarities to, there is no reason marijuana should be outlawed.
