During this last year at Pepperdine, I have experienced an awesome spiritual growth. I am more confident in myself and my beliefs, but at the same time more dependent on God than I have ever been. I grew up going to church with my family, worshipping with the same congregation for the first eighteen years of my life. I thought it would be hard to adjust to a new church, particularly one much less conservative than I had been used to, but the members of Malibu Church of Christ made me feel at home on my first visit. I love being able to worship with so many students around my age; it is such an inspiring and uplifting experience. I also keep in touch with mentors I have had growing up in my home church, people who have truly shown the light of Christ in their lives and motivated me to do the same.
