Some of these causes are; Lack of maintenance, overcrowding, and the small stock of school supplies including computers. The school chancellor gave a survey to the teachers, students and the parents to uncover and bring forward some of the major problems in classrooms and facilities and this is what the survey showed; 33% of the schools have poor ventilation, 26% had an obvious rodent and roach problem, 24% of schools reported cracks or holes in the walls and ceilings of classrooms, 27% reported peeling paint, and, 24% of the schools reported that the lighting was bad and there was inadequate heat. ...
