City Lights The opening and final images are the most important images in a movie. These are the images left with the viewer the longest. The opening image is what gives the audience and answer to the question is this worth seeing. If the audience does not like the opening to a movie they will not pay much attention to it. If the opening is not very enticing and does not pull the audience in, they will see nothing but the final image. The final image has more to do with whether or not the audience will watch the movie again while the opening image is whether or not they will watch it the first time. The final image is, most of the time, even more important then the opening because unless the opening was very good it is harder to remember then the end. The end is the very last thing the viewer sees. If the ending is bad, the movie is considered bad. If the ending is confusing, the movie is considered confusing. If the ending is good, the movie is considered good. For example, the ending of Resident Evil was very vague and was considered bad because it didn’t really end. It was obvious they were going to make a sequel so they didn’t bother to make an ending to the first movie.
