Proof of Non Existence
The Proof of Non-Existence I have noticed that one of the most commonly discussed and debated issues in philosophy is the idea of the existence of a consciousness or awareness as to our own existence. ... The truth is, the existence of an individual or individual’s consciousness appears to be real only when it is being debated from the perspective of “knowing” it is there, but remains a manufactured convention when held to the extremes of Descartes‘, Kant’s, Berkley’s, and Russells views. The proof of existence in any form is a difficult chore. Even from the outset, the meaning of existence is questionable. ... ” With that definition, it becomes near impossible to prove existence, with the exception of ones own thoughts. Descartes felt that if anything could be doubted, he could logically “doubt” it out of existence. ... Using Descartes method, I can disprove the existence of myself by saying: consciousness or thought, is limited to interpretations of observations. ... Kant’s argues in, “Refutation of Material Idealism” that in order to prove his existence, something permanent must exist outside of him.
