Marriage between homosexuals
There has been a rising number of homosexuals, lesbians and so on in the society lately. ... In this paper, I argue that homosexuals, gays, lesbians and others should be given the right to marry and live together. Marriage is defined as a sexual, economic, social and emotional partnership involving obligations as well as rights. Furthermore, commitment is a key aspect of the institution of marriage and so is fidelity. When children are involved, the marriage also entails a parental relationship and the rights and obligations assumed jointly by parents to provide and care for their children(Ambert). People believe that marriage virtues will be broken when two people of the same sex get married. ... The true virtues of marriage that people are trying to protect is long gone, the rate of divorcing couples is rapidly increasing in our society. However, high rates of divorce, of never-married parenthood, and, as we see below, of cohabitation, may have altered the meaning of marriage for many: for a segment of the population, marriage has become a private relationship based on personal satisfaction rather than a covenant based mutual fulfillment and responsibilities (ambert). ... Marriage should be between people that really love each other and are willing to spend the rest of their lives together. Were these persons given the opportunity to follow their natural inclinations by marrying members of the same sex, it could only strengthen the institution of marriage, to the general benefit of society, morality, and the global environment(Reding). ... Sex before marriage is another thing that Christians are not allowed to do But the truth is there is hardly anyone that didn’t have sex before they got married.
