PIONEERING The human species is increasingly shifting and evolving. Not a single person can say that they have not grown, that they have not developed further as a human, either personality wise or intelligence wise. Fashion has shifted and grown as well, in turn it reflects the disposition of the age. For example, the two-piece bathing suit wasn’t designed until the 1950’s, since then it has developed into being a more popular item than the one-piece, which would have been absurd to think of in the 1920’s. This shows how people’s ideas are changing and people’s ideas of fashion are changing, forever looking forward. Comme des Garcons, the Tokyo-based label, understands that people are forever looking forward and realized that clothing lines need to do the same.
