Poverty; the many faces.
Poverty is a major problem in the United States today. These main ideas of my paper are going to focus on the categories of; social factors of how people reach these levels of poverty, political factors such as the economy that have an aid in poverty, as well as cultural factors in poverty such as race. I feel that these topics are all contributing forces that cause poverty.
Determining social factors of people in poverty are sometimes seen as obvious. Many people that are in a poverty state are their because of low paying jobs and social stratification. Many of the families that are living in poverty have suffered from economic inequality. ... (Macionis, 35) As a child is brought in to poverty it is not very easy to be brought out of it. Many people feel that poverty is brought on by ones own problems but it is not. Many factors can contribute to the reason that a person is stuck in poverty.
