The reader sees Bromden’s character develop throughout the book from being deaf and dumb, to becoming aggressive and assertive and finally throwing the control panel no one could lift, out the window in order to escape. ... This is the way her character was developed, to be in charge at all times. ... The way Kesey developed her character really made me, as a reader, dislike her character, which shows that he develops characters very well. ...
