Sonate II in B flat Major Composed by Anna Bon

Sonata II in B flat major, one of the six sonatas for piano by Anna Bon, experiment with the evolving musical ideas of the classical period. Bon’s collective use of form, genre, and rhythm produce a strong example of the musical preferences during the eighteenth century.
Like so many other successful and well known musicians, Anna Bon was raised in the fortunate environment of her parent’s talent and dedication to music. Although a woman, Anna Bon is known as “one of the most fascinating ‘child’ composers of this — the eighteenth — century.” It was through the constant involvement of musical events that her parents participated in, that Anna Bon became a composer and performer. ... Although information regarding Bon’s life and musical contributions to the era is scarce, there remain references to her Sonata II in B flat Major.
Bon’s opening movement to the three movement piece, exhibits attributes of the developing sonata-allegro form; most often referred to as the sonata form.
