Sexual prejudice exists in our society today and is prominent in the United States. Sexual prejudice has three principal types: it is an attitude characterized by a form of judgment or evaluation, it is also directed a social group (gays, lesbians, bisexuals and even heterosexuals although highly unusual) and finally it brings a negative connotation which manifest itself in the form of dislike or hostility.
Many people confuse sexual prejudice with homophobia. ... ” The limitation of such a term in describing sexual prejudice is that a phobia in the clinical sense is usually a socially debilitating reaction to a stimulus and antigay sentiment usually is highly effective to those who manifest it.
