Satires are great. They're an excuse for those with sarcastic attitudes to write freely. Why say things directly when you can dance around the subject in an opposite view while being obnoxious? You can make jest of someone who isn't very intelligent without them catching on. This alone is the greatest reason. However, writing satirically has its other perks. While writing satirically the reader is forced into thinking. No longer can the reader read the selection and think, "Duh... that is good words." While reading a stire they begin to think intelligently, "It appears the writer is attempting to critique this area.
