Philosophy and Evil

...      (i)The argument for the problem of evil determining that there is no God, is set up to affirm that if there was an omnipotent, omnibenevolent God then there would be no evil. It explains in the argument that since we know that evil exists, therefore God does not exist. ... The two premises which say that God is all-powerful and perfectly good set up the question to why would God allow evil in the world that he created. So then the next two premises say that there is evil and that if God exists then there would be no evil in the world. Again premise three is repeated and says that there is evil and therefore the conclusion states that there is no God. This argument of the problem of evil is a great argument for an atheist because it points out that there is no reason for any evil to occur with an all-powerful God. It goes through each point clearly pointing out why God’s existence is cannot be justified due to how much evil exists.
