The Golden Year’s
The Golden Age of television was very different from the stage that television is in today. In my opinion the Golden Age of television was far better than modern-day television.
In the Golden Age of television our country was in a different place but there was what appeared to be a simplicity and cleanliness in our television industry. The shows that were most popular throughout these years were geared more towards family than anything else. The Golden Age of television provided a time for families to sit around the TV and watch it together rather than needing a TV in every room because no one could agree on what to watch. During the Golden Age there were only network stations which greatly cutback on the options that were available, but this was not necessarily a bad thing. ... In the Golden Age of TV it was not uncommon to see a married couple sleeping in separate beds and now it is not uncommon to see a character on a sitcom have a new one-night stand every week.
