... Why have you chosen social work as a profession? I have chosen to pursue a career in the social work profession because I want to use my time and talents toward helping others help themselves. I originally planned to get my Bachelors degree in Social Work, but because I was slightly naïve about what social work careers actually were, I decided that Human Resources might be an ‘easier’ career to undertake so three years ago I received my degree in Human Resources and began working for a corporately owned chain of childcare centers doing Human Resource work.
