I must admit that my impressions of World Regional Geography were solely based on stereotypes, that geography is generally memorizing a galaxy of world regions and locations. ... Our professor then preached the five pillars of geography to the class; location, place, human environment interaction, regions, and movement. A neoteric term, spatial analysis, was also inscribed in the “religion” of geography. ... Even the simple vocation of assembling for school ties into the five themes of geography and spatial analysis. ... In a sense, geography is similar to the air we breathe, it is everywhere we are. It affects us in our everyday lives and tasks.
