The weapons of World War I were revolutionary for their time. Effective weapons and knowing when to use them was often a key point to winning a battle. The Germans seemed to have developed the majority of new weapons and were usually the farthest ahead in weapon technology. However, some new weapons set back battles and were ill suited for their environment.
