Industrial America
Industrial America Between 1865 and 1900, America rapidly surpassed Britain, France, and Germany, to become the world’s leading industrial nation. Contributing to this amazing accomplishment were three major factors: growth of population, improvements in agriculture and new industrial inventions. The rapid growth of population greatly contributed to the industrialization in America. ... These immigrants would come to America desiring work. ... Clearly, America made a remarkable leap towards number one in industry in just twenty-five years. Thanks to the many inventions, improvements, and growth of cities as a whole, industry is still a major factor in how America produces and grows today. Without the technology and brilliant people of the 1800’s, America would not be ranked as the leading industrial nation of the world.
