Popular culture can best be defined as culture based on popular taste disseminated widely and usually on a commercialized basis. Aspects of popular culture could include literature and regalia relating to film, television, radio, music, genre fiction, and comics. A huge aspect of popular culture in my mind is music. Through the everyday aspects of music and its affects on the world one can see how it is an important aspect of popular culture. ... How good a music video is plays a fairly big part in whether or not a song is popular on MTV. Because this show is so popular, appearing on it guarantees popularity and fans worldwide. ... If a popular artist is seen wearing a specific name brand shirt, it affects the clothing industry and its popularity and sales. ... The ever so popular Michael Jackson also made his debut. ...
