... I completely agree with this definition except I believe the underlying term that allows this to be true is left out, kindness. Kindness is defined as the quality of being warm-hearted and considerate and humane and sympathetic and/or the tendency to be kind and forgiving. The example given about Gandhi on page 163 is in my opinion one of the greatest examples of selfless kindness I have heard of. ... Each time someone helps someone else they ask the person they helped to simply pay the kindness forward to three other people. There is slowly a ripple of kindness happening to others and in turn they begin to continue do kind selfless things for others. ... After this experience she vowed to repay this kindness to someone if the chance ever arose.
