My Own Fairytale
I have always loved the fairytale story about the singer, Jewel. Once upon a time she was a young homeless girl living on the streets. She often sang out loud because it made her happy; as a result, one day a record producer happened to be strolling along the streets of New York, heard her beautiful voice, offered her a record deal, made her millions and she lived happily ever after. Well, it happened to her, it could happen to me too, right? Get real!! That’s one of the few true life fairytales. Things like that don’t happen to people often at all. Throughout the course of my short life, thus far I have learned that I can not just wake up and be successful. I have to overcome many obstacles, what I get out of life is what I put into it, and most importantly, I have to accept the fact that what’s done is done; furthermore, I have to learn from my experiences and move on.
