Well, the kidding stops Monday afternoon when Guillen, making his managerial debut with the Chicago White Sox, takes on Pena and his Kansas City Royals. They happen to be two of the three Latin American managers in the Major Leagues this year -- Felipe Alou of the San Francisco Giants is the other -- and they'll be matching wits on Opening Day. "This means a lot," Pena said. "In the past we didn't have too many Latin American managers but this year we are three. I was a teammate with Ozzie and now we are going to manage against each other. This means a lot to me and I know it means a lot to Latin American people." It was Pena's bouncy, happy, energized approach that was a signature of the Royals' turnaround season.
