- 11 test tubes
- Solutions:
- 2 FeSO (Iron Sulphate)
- 2 CaCl (Calcium Carbonate)
- 1 NH SCN (Ammonia Thiocyanate)
- 3 test tubes tap water
- 3 test tubes distilled water
- Graduated cylinders
- Micropipette
- Test tube rack
- Indicators:
- #1 (use in FeSO , CaCl , H O)
- #2 (use in FeSO , CaCl , H O)
- #3 (use in NH SCN, H O)
Procedure
A) Collect test tubes
B) Fill 3 test tubes with distilled water
C) Fill 3 test tubes with tap water
D) Fill 2 test tubes with FeSO solution
E) Fill 2 test tubes with CaCl solution
F) Fill 1 test tube with NH SCN solution
G) Squeeze indicator #1 into 1 test tube each of distilled water, tap water, FeSO , and CaCl using micropipette.
