Shawshank Redemption Critique
In society today there are significant difficulties in the pursuit for justice. In the movie “The Shawshank Redemption”, director Frank Dalapont uses young and brilliant New England banker Andy Dufrense (Tim Robbins) to expose serious flaws within our legal system. ... Convicted, he is sentenced to two life sentences in the feared maximum-security Shawshank State Prison in Maine. ... Creating a person out of thin air, he utilizes his accounting skills to illegally obtain more than a million dollars for the warden during his imprisonment at Shawshank. Still proclaiming his innocence, Andy’s status seems to increase with every favor for the chief of the prison, but when a prison transfer arrives at Shawshank the movie takes a shocking turn.
