This year’s NPPL Super 7 event at Huntington Beach promises to be bigger and better than ever before. With a record 168 teams showing up to compete, the NPPL actually had to close down registration early. Another 30 teams are anxiously waiting on a list in case a registered team cancels. The NPPL crew has designed a new playing surface this year that will help keep sand out of the barrels and gear. The turf is action backed carpet, and they are suggesting soccer-style shoes for playing in. NO SPIKED OR METAL CLEATS will be allowed, so make sure you’re prepared. For complete Super 7 rules, visit their Web site at nppl.tv Welcome to surf city “The turf will make the game faster and more exciting to watch,” said the NPPL.
