Coral reefs are one of the most diverse and beautiful ecosystems in the world. Coral reefs are also on of the rarest and are virtually at the point of extinction. Coral reefs demand specific need and can be affected by the slightest change. Coral reefs support a complicated food chain and as time goes along marine species would soon become extinct without them. Nature is also taking it’s toll on coral reefs. ... We can’t wipe out the population but we can assist by reporting infested areas to coral reef protection agencies. ... The coral reef needs our help. Tourism is also a major threat to coral reefs.
