News reporting plays an important role in society, as it is a media for communicating messages and representing the reality to people all over the world. However, different backgrounds and cultures in different countries can result in different ideologies, leading to bias in news reporting.
This essay is going to define and discuss the link between ideology and bias in news reporting through an examination of news reporting concerning the outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) from media in Australia, United Kingdom and China.
