Conflict Resolution
Conflict is broken down into two types, constructive conflict and destructive conflict. Constructive conflict is the type of conflict that managers want to occur in a team setting. Constructive conflict occurs when a team can address its differences and deal with them in a positive fashion. The manager will encourage a constructive type of conflict because the benefits of this type of conflict are very rewarding and productive. ... As long as people within the team learn from the conflict, then the conflict can be deemed constructive. Constructive conflict also fosters a stronger team environment in that the team feels that it has conquered the negative aspects of the conflict and come together as a group.
