A Million Dollar Gamble A California man is suing the Las Vegas Hilton and Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, claiming that the casinos were negligent in allowing him to gamble away more than one million dollars while he was intoxicated. I believe the casino was in the wrong in allowing a drunk man to gamble away all his money. If you are intoxicated you are unable to control your actions. So why should this man be held held accountable for his actions while he was intoxicated. Stephen Roel claims that he had been a customer of the Hilton for more than 15 years when he made arrangements for the weekend at the casino. Stephen was well known to be a skilled and knowledgeable player, and had a $50,000 credit line at the casino, in which he never went over. On the weekend of September 29-30, Stephen had been drinking heavily and betting out of control.
