Abstract
This paper mainly deals explicitly with so-called Oedipus complex, which in Sons and Lovers was particularly presented by the attraction of young boys for his mother. First of all, the paper analyses the Character of Paul and Williams and Lawrence¡¯s personal experience. Secondly, the son-mother relationship in the Morel¡¯s family and Lawrence¡¯s which cause the writer and these young boys he created bear the same Oedipus complex. ... David Herbert Lawrence is one of the greatest writers in the history of English literature, and Sons and lovers is one of his most successful novel.
