Gun control has been a hot debate for many years now and has emerged in the nineties as the most pressing public controversial issue. Guns have become increasingly popular in the American culture and other cultures in the world. As a result of its great popularity there are more than 70-85 million gun owners in America alone, along with the countless number of guns in other countries. Those advocates of gun control would argue that laws that ban guns would help decrease the number of deaths due to gun violence. But adversaries of hthe gun control laws would say they have a right to own a gun, and that the guns are not the problem, the people controlling the guns are. The debate has been existent ever since the signing of the constitution, especially the Second Amendment that gives the right of citizens to own guns. Both arguments, for and against gun control, have adequate reasons for each of their sides.
