Writing and Humanities 09/30/03 Essay The “American Dream” is basically the need to have everything in your life. It is one’s inner greed to possess it all, to make life more comfortable and enjoyable for themselves. As time goes on the moral, esthetic and the spirituals value have all disappeared. The American Dream has become like a mission, which each person wants to accomplish for their own good. I agree that people have lost their love for freedom and humanity as they compete to reach to the top. The lust for money and property has people racing to achieve the maximum status, without caring about how or what they do to get there.
