SPHERE
Sphere by Michael Crichton copy write 1987 371 pages. ... On this ship there is a strange “alien” metallic sphere. Harry figures out how to open sphere by using his mind, he goes in, and after he comes out strange things start happening such as the habitat is attacked by a giant squid. ... Norman figures out that the squid and stuff are coming from Harry’s mind because he went in the sphere. Norman and Beth tranquilize Harry but things keep happening, and Norman realizes Beth has power from going in the sphere too. Norman goes in sphere and gets the power as well, and is able to take the three of them to the surface in the escape submarine. While in the decompression chamber all three decide to use their power to make the sphere disappear and change their memory of what happened.
The title SPHERE has great significance because the whole story is based around the discovery of the sphere and the power it brings.
