Parental Values
Although we share a family bloodline, my parents and I don’t share too many values when it comes to parenting. There are some exceptions to that rule when looking at the broad view of certain values.
My husband and I are raising our two children, ages seven and five, by a broader set of values than that of my parents. My parents are raising my ten year old sister, Michelle, by a much stricter set of values.
I believe the broadening of my values reflects the changes in today’s culture. I was raised by my parent’s values but in a different era than the one they grew up in.
