Duncan is now dead, what roles have Macbeth, lady MacBeth and the three witches played in the murder? Who is the most responsible in your opinion? ...
Several factors lead up to King Duncan・s death; his death was definitely not caused by only one person・s actions and thought, but rather the actions and thoughts of several characters, such as Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, and the three witches.
Macbeth plays the largest role in the murder, simply because he is the one who physically kills King Duncan, to take his crown of Scotland. Macbeth・s character is strong noble and loyal at the beginning of the play, he fights and wins for King Duncan when everybody else rebels all odds are against him, this is how he first gain・s King Duncan・s trust, shown by when Duncan is praising Macbeth; :What he hath lost, noble Macbeth hath won;
But after he and Banquo meet the three witches on the heath, he slowly but steadily begins to lose his sanity.
