Beautiful sunlight is shining through the windows and the noise of the birds outside sounds sweet, for the new century blessed China with good luck. After a 15-year journey to the World Trade Organization, China is no longer an outsider of the WTO. But is it really suitable for our crop market to open to the world so early? Have we already got a mature agricultural market for the entry? Every one is talking on the benefits that the entry will bring us. It¡¯s undeniable that the entry offers us more goods and opportunities. However, opportunities always come with challenges. We may enjoy a free trade system, but not a free lunch. With an immature agricultural market, China¡¯s entry to WTO seems to be too early. Even though, I still believe it is suitable. There are two main reasons. One reason is that the first decade of 21st century is a golden period for economic development.
