Social Science-22 Racial and Ethnic and Religious Groups February 20, 2004 LEARNING LOG Well today was the first day of class and up to this point I’m impressed. I believe that it’s important to know or want to understand people and their cultures. Each individual in the class were asked questions about their heritage and all of the races they were related to. Then we discussed certain issues and took a poll. Next the teacher began to explain what the class was all about. I hope to get the most out of this class. I like to learn plus a class like this will help me to communicate better with people other than my own race. My parents always taught me that it is important to be nice to people no matter what they look like, but I want to be able to have an intelligent conversation with them as well. Maybe have some knowledge so that they would feel comfortable talking to me. February 21, 2004 Today we played games.
