Head Girl Candidate Speech ¡¥04
Hey ļ
Just incase you listening ears aren¡¦t on, and you¡¦re unfamiliar with your alphabet, yes, my name is indeed Kay.
Being up here, delivering this speech is probably one of the hardest things I¡¦ve done. ...
Its been a long time now that I¡¦ve thought about the idea of being head girl ¡V and its been equally as long that I¡¦ve known that to be head girl, you are going to run into the situation I¡¦m in now ¡V a candidates speech to senior school. Doing my best to be prepared for this, and trying to construct a speech that might win me a few votes, I went along to the candidates speeches in fifth form, and then again in sixth form, and listened very intently to what previous candidates have said, and how they have approached the whole thing. If I was to follow the tried and true, my speech would be a starchy wee number that goes a little something like this: ¡§Hi *cheesy grin* *tilt head to right*. For those of you who don¡¦t know me, my name¡¦s Kay *straighten head and tilt head backwards and forwards in small, quick, nodding motions*, and I¡¦m here to speak to you today about why I think I would be a good head girl for Morrinsville College in this year of 2004.
