Scarface is a movie about a man’s quest for everything the world has to offer. The main character is an immigrant from Cuba by the name of Antonio “Tony” Montana. Along with his very close friend Manolo “Manny”, their goal is to live the American dream, which is to leave Cuba, relocate to America and become extremely rich and powerful. These Cubans are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve their dream. He will not let anything or anybody get in his way of achieving his dreams. Tony’s mother and sister, Gina, are already in the States and are currently living in Miami, Florida. Right away Manny seems interested in Gina but keeps it to himself. Through organized crime, the sale of cocaine, Tony achieves this dream of becoming rich and powerful. Tony’s first job was as a dishwasher making very little but when the opportunity came before him to make some serious money he took it. In his first job he lost his friend, Angel Fernandez, when a deal went bad. During the deal Tony and the dealer with the two keys had a disagreement when Tony did not want to tell the Columbian where the money was and the Columbian would not tell Tony where the keys were. Tony escaped the situation with the help of his friends when they came into the place after a period of time with machine guns, however, Tony did lose his one friend but he left with the “two keys of cocaine” and the money for them when the deal went bad. He takes the keys to the boss, Frank Lopez, himself instead of going through the middlemen. This is an example of how Tony was eager to get to the top and be very powerful. Frank, impressed with Tony’s guts offers him a full-time job working in Frank’s organization. Three months later Frank sends Tony along with one of his associates named Omar Swarez to Cochabamba, Bolivia.
