According to assessment for pain using a visual analogue scale, and he indicates that he is having pain at an 8 level on a 0 (no pain) to 10 (worst possible pain) scale. He has not received any analgesics in 6 hours. He last received one Percocet for pain. Percocet inhabits ascending pain path way in CNS, increases pain threshold, alters pain perception and it use for moderate to sever pain. And it has to be taken q4-6h or 10mg tid or qid prn. But since he has only take 1 Percocet for pain and did not receive any analgesics in 6hours he definitely have a pain.
