Alfred Deakin was the second Prime Minister of Australia, was also the fifth and seventh holder of that office, having played a leading role in the Federation movement. ... Despite these remarkable achievements, his greatest contribution to history was his support in the Federation of Australia. He helped to draft a constitution for the proposed federation, which unfortunately languished in the economic depression of the early 90’s. ...
