There are many similarities and differences in the presidential evection of 1876 and the election of 2000. Some similarities are Florida was a huge factor in both elections, and that the dominant media voices influenced the public’s opinion more. Some differences are that the president in 1876 tried helping the election while in 2000 the president didn’t help the election, and the technology of the voting has changed dramatically. There are many similarities between the election of 1876 and the election of 2000. One similarity is that Florida was a factor in both elections. In both elections Florida had a miss count and couldn’t find out who won the election.
