Anyone in the business world, or even who is just alive today, is well aware of those difficult times and confusing decisions we are faced with, and the peculiar outcomes those choices lead to. ... These actions usually do not just affect the decider, but their family, friends and associates, especially when the decision is one in business, and while it may not necessarily impact others in a distinct way, certain decisions always will. Such is the case with Willy Loman and his affair with Miss Francis, while away in Boston on business. ...
The affair between Willy and Miss Francis is mainly one of for business reasons, she wants stockings, and he wants to get in for possible sales, so in a way it was a bit of a business transaction, they each got what they wanted, and each satisfied the loneliness they had coiled up. ... However, that Willy is doing it as a business move is wholly paradoxical, since he is working so hard to support his family and make their lives easier, but in the act of doing so he is putting a new strain on his family life, and betraying those he cares most about.
