Many people are starting to believe that students that watch more than an hour of television in one day do not do as well as the other kids in the classroom. This controversial point has been spread around and now some schools are asking parents to sign a pledge saying that their student will not watch T.V. the second week of each month. I believe this is a good idea because kids will have more time to do homework, they will be more active, and it will open their minds. If students had an extra hour each day to study and do homework, their grades and attentiveness in class would increasingly rise.
